Andrew Scott Denlinger has been a part of the Chicago music scene for quite a while. His brand of American rock n’ roll is as diverse as the city he calls home. His fifth single, Draped In Fashion “is all about young love,” says Andrew. “It’s about the chase, the unknowns and the excitement of the moment.” Sonically, Draped In Fashion pulls from a mix of classic tones and modern influence. It’s fresh, with hints of nostalgia.
Before the release his current solo-project, Andrew toured the nation as bassist for Chicago country-artist Nick Lynch, playing and performing for thousands across the nation. Together they rocked over 1,000 shows in honky-tonks, clubs, festivals, on ABC Chicago’s Windy City Live, and with a bunch of Country Music’s greatest acts.
Andrew Scott’s new music captures the essence of America, incorporating bluesy leads, guitar driven tunes, and heartfelt lyrics that leave a lasting impression on the listener. Lyrics stretch between heartache and love, from struggle to life.
Andrew Scott Denlinger continues to share his music and moments with the world, writing and recording songs while playing a steady schedule of festivals, bars, campgrounds and more throughout the Midwest. His songs have been streamed over 400,000 times, with more music on the horizon.
When asked how he would describe his sound, Andrew says this:
“[It’s] a musical representation of the world. …a sonic blending of our humanity and who we are. [My new music explores] the influences in my life: rock, blues, country, grunge, pop, and r&b and I try to see how they work together… that sounds pretty American to me!”

You might know the difference between Whiskey, Bourbon, and Rye, but do you know enough to be certified in Bourbon? Now you can find out. The Stave & Thief Society offers the world’s only industry-recognized Bourbon certification program.
Whiskey Acres is a Stave & Thief Society Establishment Member as can hold the Certified Associate Bourbon Steward class under the direction of our Executive Bourbon Steward Trish Hayden.
Key Concepts Covered:
What makes a bourbon a bourbon, and how it is different from other whiskies
What the different descriptors of bourbon mean
The science behind distilling and aging
Define and explain the different bourbon classifications such as Bottled in Bond, Small Batch, and Single Barrel and be able to identify bourbons belonging to each class.
Accurate bourbon history, including Kentucky’s role in its creation.
Experience a flight of bourbon, demonstrating the relationship among the products, describing their characteristics and nuances with nosing and tasting notes
Upon successful completion and passage of the on-line exam you will be certified and receive Lifetime Membership in the Stave & Thief Society as well as a lapel pin that visibly designates you as an Associate Bourbon Steward.
Class size is Limited to 20 participants. A smartphone, tablet or computer is needed to take the online exam at the end of the class.
Classes are approx. 3 1/2 hours and include 4 (1/2 oz pours) of selected bourbons as well as the Official Bourbon Steward Handbook. This course also includes a Whiskey Acres Glencairn glass, a private tour of the distillery and a special barrel sample straight from the source. Light snacks will also be provided.
Standard Price – $170 per person. Must be 21 to participate

Andrew Scott Denlinger has been a part of the Chicago music scene for quite a while. His brand of American rock n’ roll is as diverse as the city he calls home. His fifth single, Draped In Fashion “is all about young love,” says Andrew. “It’s about the chase, the unknowns and the excitement of the moment.” Sonically, Draped In Fashion pulls from a mix of classic tones and modern influence. It’s fresh, with hints of nostalgia.

John Drake performs his own songs as well as covers a variety of blues, country and Americana including Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, The Band, Bob Dylan, John Prine, Hank Williams, Allman Bros, Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf and many more. He performs regularly at venues such as breweries, wineries, taverns, saloons, clubs, beer gardens, street festivals and fairs.
“Brother John has been a resident musician at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago for over 30 years. Through his work with Chicago blues greats Buddy Guy & Otis Rush, he has jammed with Eric Clapton, Steve Miller, auditioned for the Black Crowes (in 1998, but they hired Jimmy Page instead), and acquired ringing endorsements from many other musicians of renown. For example: Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant had seen John play with Otis Rush at the Jazz Café in London. When Plant and Kattke met in person at the United Center in Chicago, Plant told Kattke: “You play a mean guitar!” George Benson came to the jam session that Kattke hosts at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago. After hearing the opening set that John played with his band, Benson told him: “You’re fearless! I thought I was fearless! You’re fearless!””

“Brother John has been a resident musician at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago for over 30 years. Through his work with Chicago blues greats Buddy Guy & Otis Rush, he has jammed with Eric Clapton, Steve Miller, auditioned for the Black Crowes (in 1998, but they hired Jimmy Page instead), and acquired ringing endorsements from many other musicians of renown. For example: Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant had seen John play with Otis Rush at the Jazz Café in London. When Plant and Kattke met in person at the United Center in Chicago, Plant told Kattke: “You play a mean guitar!” George Benson came to the jam session that Kattke hosts at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago. After hearing the opening set that John played with his band, Benson told him: “You’re fearless! I thought I was fearless! You’re fearless!””

You might know the difference between Whiskey, Bourbon, and Rye, but do you know enough to be certified in Bourbon? Now you can find out. The Stave & Thief Society offers the world’s only industry-recognized Bourbon certification program.
Whiskey Acres is a Stave & Thief Society Establishment Member as can hold the Certified Associate Bourbon Steward class under the direction of our Executive Bourbon Steward Trish Hayden.

What makes a bourbon a bourbon, and how it is different from other whiskies
What the different descriptors of bourbon mean
The science behind distilling and aging
Define and explain the different bourbon classifications such as Bottled in Bond, Small Batch, and Single Barrel and be able to identify bourbons belonging to each class.
Accurate bourbon history, including Kentucky’s role in its creation.
Experience a flight of bourbon, demonstrating the relationship among the products, describing their characteristics and nuances with nosing and tasting notes
Upon successful completion and passage of the on-line exam you will be certified and receive Lifetime Membership in the Stave & Thief Society as well as a lapel pin that visibly designates you as an Associate Bourbon Steward.
Class size is Limited to 20 participants. A smartphone, tablet or computer is needed to take the online exam at the end of the class.
Classes are approx. 3 1/2 hours and include 4 (1/2 oz pours) of selected bourbons as well as the Official Bourbon Steward Handbook. This course also includes a Whiskey Acres Glencairn glass, a private tour of the distillery and a special barrel sample straight from the source. Light snacks will also be provided.
