Matthew Garcia, an 18-year-old acoustic guitar player and singer from the suburbs of Chicago, performs a diverse range of music as a solo artist. Drawing inspiration from artists like John Mayer, Chris Stapleton, Taylor Swift, Matchbox Twenty, and more, he creates a unique live performance by blending their influences. Matthew finds joy in the songwriting process and actively seeks to learn from other local musicians.  

Currently, Matthew is in his freshman year at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, pursuing a degree in Business Management & Digital Media Production. As he embarks on a new chapter in a different city and faces the challenges that come with it, Matthew aims to develop effective business management skills through music and establish connections with diverse audiences. He believes that his versatility allows him to reach a wide range of people.
