You can enjoy our products right here at our tasting room, or at locations throughout Illinois  including Binny's, Kenwood Liquors, Whole Foods, Schnuck's, Hy-Vee, Mariano's, etc. If you don't see us on the shelf, please ask for us by name!

Bourbon: Our bourbon contains wheat as a secondary grain which helps create a softer, more rounded spirit. It's already earned a silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and a bronze at the American Craft Spirits Competition.  Not bad for a young guy.

Vodka: Our vodka is special. Just ask anyone who has been here to visit. Made of 100% corn raised right here on the farm, it is smooth, clean and refreshingly different. Every day we have customers tell us it is one of the best vodkas they've ever tasted. It's recently been awarded a gold medal at the Denver International Spirits Competition, a silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and a bronze medal at the American Craft Spirits Tasting Competition.

Rye: The rye has been released! We've got a "high" rye (75% rye) for those of you who prefer your whiskey with a bit of a kick! Not to fear though because we use a very particular strain of rye known for having the presence of a vanilla note to soften the blow. YUM!

Corn Whiskey: This un-aged Corn Whiskey hits your tongue with a slightly sweet, bold front end and finishes with a notably smooth deliberate grain flavor only achieved through our top quality ingredients and aggressive heads and tails cuts. Our Corn Whiskey comes with an Oak Infusion Spiral so you can even try aging it yourself.  It even earned a silver medal at the American Craft Spirits Tasting Competition.  

Artisan Series:  Ever had a bourbon made from blue popcorn? How about green Oaxacan heirloom corn? Sweetcorn perhaps? Sometimes we get a bit adventurous around here. We've got these and more sitting in barrels in very limited quantities. Patience Grasshopper. May we suggest these cocktails:

 

BOURBON MILK PUNCH

1.75 oz Whiskey Acres Bourbon

4 oz Whole Milk

Tbsp of Maple Syrup

Tsp of Vanilla extract

Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker and shake well.

Pour over ice and top with cinnamon and nutmeg.

 

BARN DOOR

2-oz. Whiskey Acres RYE Whiskey

.5-oz. Grenadine

4-5-oz. Ginger Ale

2-3 dashes of ORANGE BITTERS

Combine ingredients over ice in rocks glass. Stir. Serve with maraschino cherry and/or orange wheel.

 

BOURBON SLUSH - PARTY TIME!!!

9 cups water, divided

3 black tea bags

2 cups sugar

12 ounces of frozen lemonade concentrate

6 ounces of frozen orange juice concentrate

2 cups of Whiskey Acres Bourbon

Ginger Ale for a splash finish

In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to boil. Add tea bags and allow to seep for 10 minutes. Discard teabags. Stir in sugar until completely dissolved. 

In large container, combine tea/sugar mixture, lemon and orange juice concentrates, water and bourbon

Pour into a flat tupperware container and freeze for 4-6 hours, or over night if possible.

Serve using an ice cream scoop.  Top with a splash of ginger ale. 

 

BOLD FASHIONED

2-oz. Whiskey Acres Bourbon or RYE

.5-oz. simple syrup

1 brandied cherry

1 orange wedge

2 dashes of angostura bitters

In a mixing glass; muddle cherry, orange wedge and bitters. Add simple syrup and Whiskey. Fill glass ¾ of the way with ice and still until chilled. Pour into rocks glass. 

GREYHOUND

1.5-oz. Whiskey Acres Vodka

4-50z. IZZE Grapefruit flavored soda

In a tall glass combine ingredients over ice and stir. That's it! Simple, refreshing and not too sweet. It's one of our favorite summertime cocktails.

APPLE JULEP

2-oz. Whiskey Acres Bourbon

1-oz. apple cider

.5-oz. simple syrup

4-5 mint leaves

In a cocktail tin, press gently on the mint leaves to release aromatics (without beating it up). Add cider, simple syrup and Whiskey Acres Bourobn. Roll the cocktail with ice to chill but not shake. Strain and pour into a cocktail glass filled with ice and garnish with a mint sprig. 

MIDWEST MULE

2-oz. Whiskey Acres Bourbon

.5-oz. lime juice

4-5 oz. ginger beer

In a cocktail shaker, add Whiskey Acres Bourbon and lime juice. Quickly shake over ice and then add the ginger beer to incorporate all flavors. If topping off the drink, it will be layered and not balanced. Pour over ice in a Collins glass and garnish with a lime wheel. 

WHISKEY MARGARITA

1.5-oz. Whiskey Acres Corn Whiskey

.5-oz. Combier Liqueur d’ Orange

.75-oz. lime

.5-oz. simple syrup

In a shaker tin, add all ingredients. Fill ¾ of the way with ice and quickly shake to not over dillute. Pour over fresh ice in a cocktail glass. (Salt optional) garnish with a lime wheel or orange twist.
