Whiskey Walks at the Arboretum

Join us at the Morton Arboretum for a hike and whiskey tasting.

Oaks are an essential part of whiskey making, and an essential part of Illinois’s history, too! There are so many reasons to get to know oaks. Arboretum experts will fill you in on all-things-oak during a 45-minute guided hike through the East Woods.

After your hike, return to the covered Big Rock Visitor Station and quench your thirst with a whiskey tasting hosted by us!  As you sip, learn the history, lore, and distilling process of this popular American spirit. You’ll never drink whiskey the same way again.

Discounted tickets available at the door for designated drivers ($5 each, must be at least 18 years old).  Event tickets sold at the door will be $30 each.  Guests may bring your own lawn chairs, but no outside food or drinks are permitted.

Whiskey 101 at the Yorkville River Fest

We'll will be back again at this year's Yorkville River Fest on Saturday, July 14!  Three 30 minute sessions will be offered at 3:30pm, 4:15pm, and 5:00pm

For $10/person, participants will enjoy three 1/4oz tastes of Whiskey Acres products as well as one craft cocktail while learning about the history of whiskey production and our estate distillery.

Begin your holiday celebrations by getting a "Taste of the Season" in Downtown DeKab on December 2 from 5 -8 pm!

Enjoy tastings at 14 Downtown DeKalb Businesses and sample food from local restaurants. You'll find Whiskey Acres pouring straight samples and sample cocktails at Tapa la Luna.

Check In will be from 4:45 pm - 6:15 pm at the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce to receive your tasting glass and lanyard with tasting locations.

Tickets are $30.00. Tickets may be available for purchase at the event.

* All Locations will be tasting various wines, whiskey, hard cider, etc and have food samples from local restaurants.

Blue Bourbon and the Bandit Movie Screening at Whiskey Acres

Celebrate the third release of our Artisan Series: Blue Popcorn Bourbon.

We'll open at 1:30 PM, and have tours throughout the day, with the LAST tour starting at 6 PM (THERE WILL BE NO 7 PM TOUR).

Lukulos will be here with their food truck serving some awesome whiskey themed food from 4-9 PM.

Pilot Knob Comforts will also be here from 4-9 PM popping corn and sharing their Shaman Blue Popcorn (the same type of popcorn we made the bourbon from).

Finally, we will be showing Smokey and the Bandit on a big screen on our north lawn from 7:30 - 9:15 PM.

Bring an appetite. Bring a friend. And bring a lawn chair!!!

$29.99 per bottle. 3 bottles per person limit.
You may mix and match with our bourbon, rye or vodka to get a 6 pak case discount (10%).
