The DeKalb County Convention & Visitors Bureau presents the first gathering of the DeKalb County Bold Spirits on August 11th from 12-8pm!  Enjoy a unique tasting event from spirits, wine, hard cider, and craft beers made right here in DeKalb County featuring:

Tickets are $25 per person and will include entry to the event, 10 tasting tickets, and a souvenir glass (for ages 21 and over only).  Drinks by the glass will also be available for purchase during the event.  

Hick’s BBQ and Tinez Tacos will be serving specialty foods from their food trucks and there will be live music from Destination Unknown (3:30-7:30pm).  

Discounted tickets available at the door for designated drivers ($5 each, must be at least 18 years old).  Event tickets sold at the door will be $30 each.  Guests may bring your own lawn chairs, but no outside food or drinks are permitted.

Whiskey Walks at the Arboretum

Join us at the Morton Arboretum for a hike and whiskey tasting.

Oaks are an essential part of whiskey making, and an essential part of Illinois’s history, too! There are so many reasons to get to know oaks. Arboretum experts will fill you in on all-things-oak during a 45-minute guided hike through the East Woods.

After your hike, return to the covered Big Rock Visitor Station and quench your thirst with a whiskey tasting hosted by us!  As you sip, learn the history, lore, and distilling process of this popular American spirit. You’ll never drink whiskey the same way again.

Whiskey 101 at the Yorkville River Fest

We'll will be back again at this year's Yorkville River Fest on Saturday, July 14!  Three 30 minute sessions will be offered at 3:30pm, 4:15pm, and 5:00pm

For $10/person, participants will enjoy three 1/4oz tastes of Whiskey Acres products as well as one craft cocktail while learning about the history of whiskey production and our estate distillery. 

Sessions are limited to 40 people, so preregistration is encouraged and can be completed online at yorkville.il.us/register.  Registration will also be taken the day of the event as space allows.

Blue Bourbon and the Bandit Movie Screening at Whiskey Acres

Celebrate the third release of our Artisan Series: Blue Popcorn Bourbon.

We'll open at 1:30 PM, and have tours throughout the day, with the LAST tour starting at 6 PM (THERE WILL BE NO 7 PM TOUR).

Lukulos will be here with their food truck serving some awesome whiskey themed food from 4-9 PM.

Pilot Knob Comforts will also be here from 4-9 PM popping corn and sharing their Shaman Blue Popcorn (the same type of popcorn we made the bourbon from).

Finally, we will be showing Smokey and the Bandit on a big screen on our north lawn from 7:30 - 9:15 PM.

Bring an appetite. Bring a friend. And bring a lawn chair!!!

NO FEE OR TICKET REQUIRED FOR THE MOVIE.

Artisan Series #3: Blue Popcorn Bourbon release

The first bottles of our Artisan Series Blue Popcorn Bourbon will be available for sale on Friday, Sept 22 at 1:30 PM. 
$29.99 per bottle. 3 bottles per person limit.
You may mix and match with our bourbon, rye or vodka to get a 6 pak case discount (10%). 

Bottle quanities are very limited, so no tastes will be avaialble.

Get in touch with your inner child at Grown-Up Play Date in the Children’s Garden on  August 18, 2017. For kids ages 21 and older ONLY!

Illinois Made Shoreline Sightseeing Cruise Featuring Whiskey Acres

Whiskey Acres is proud to be a featured Illinois Made business, and excited to partner with Shoreline Sightseeing on August 4 for a Whiskey Cruise.

We'll cruise from 8:00-9:30pm.   Boarding begins at 7:45.

The boat will be docked at Ogden Slip which is at the Southwest Corner of Polk Bros Park at Navy Pier.  There is quite a bit of parking in the area at Navy Pier (west garage) as well as public garages. 

Tickets can be purchased here.  $49/pp.  Must be 21.

Whiskey Acres Tasting at the Yorkville River Fest

Whiskey Acres Distilling Company will be hosting a whiskey tasting during the Yorkville River Fest! Four, 30 minute sessions will be offered at 3:00pm, 3:45pm, 4:30pm, and 5:15pm.

For $10/person, participants will enjoy three 1⁄4 oz tastes of Whiskey Acres bourbon, rye and vodka as well as one craft cocktail while learning about the history of whiskey production and about Whiskey’s Acres' estate distillery.

Sessions are limited to 30 people, so pre-registration is encouraged and can be completed online at www.yorkvilleparksandrecreation.com. Registration will be taken the day of the
event as space allows.
